What is in the download
The zip file has one folder named chatcart. Inside it is a second folder, also named
chatcart. The inner folder is the app. You run every command in the
inner folder, because that is where package.json is.

If you run
npm install in the outer folder, npm cannot find
package.json and stops with an ENOENT error. Go into the inner folder
first: cd chatcart/chatcart.
Files whose name starts with a dot, like .env.example, are hidden by default. On
macOS press Cmd + Shift + . in Finder to show them. On Windows, open File
Explorer, then View, then turn on Hidden items and
File name extensions.
